Trick or Treat Week!!!

WOW was this week full of Halloween fun! We were super busy but it was so worth it! It was the best halloween yet! Alexandra was a little black kitty while Sophia went back and forth between a DUKE cheerleader and (last years costume) a bumble bee ... more on this later.
It started off with the girls wearing their costumes to music on Monday. Then Sophia had her Halloween party at school. Then on Friday, Wesley Kate's halloween themed birthday party.

... our neighbor party that afternoon and then finally that evening trick or treating!

Alexandra was perfectly content being a little kitty. She actually played the part very well! Sophia on the other hand wasn't quite sure about her cheerleader constume. One day she wanted to be a bumble bee and then the next a cheerleader. But no matter what she was wearing she'd say she was a bumble bee but then give you a "Go DUKE ... Let's Go DUKE!" cheer. I think she liked wearing the bumble bee costume but acting like a cheerleader ... though she didn't understand the real concept of a cheerleader. At one point she even explained to me that her friend Jack was also a cheerleader but he didn't say Go DUKE he says Go Cosby, which is his dogs' name. So in her mind a cheerleader cheers for their dog! I guess she's right, especially if you have a dog named after your favorite team : )

Fall Festival ... & Matty!

Sophia's preschool had their annual Fall Festival ... or as Sophia says "Vegetable." I volunteered to work our class booth. Wow, was that a mistake. It was really hard work! We had animal bowling ... so while I was breaking back putting up bowling pins in the freezing cold, the girls and Joe got to enjoy all the fun at the "vegetable".

They rode on the ponies, went on all different kids of bouncers and slides, and of course bowled a few times at our booth. After my shift was up we zoomed over to the Janci's for some lunch and cake in honor of Matty's 1st birthday!

Pumpkin Patch

Here we are at the pumpkin patch. Alexandra seemed a little overwhelmed and wanted to taste all the pumpkins while Sophia ran around grabbing as many as she could and wanted to take them all home. We finally settled on three ... a "baby one" for Alexandra, a "sister one" for Sophia and a "BIG one" for daddy & mommy to share!

Alexandra's watching me put on my makeup in the morning. Notice the chapstick in her hand... she already knows what to do. She's such a girl!

TEXAS!

Another trip to TEXAS to visit Abu, Dede, Tia, Uncle Glen and Papi. The girls also got the chance to spend some time with Durley and Tita (their great grandmother). It was a CRAZY trip with two weddings, a baby shower, as well as catching up with old friends and spending time with family. However, even with all the chaos we were able to squeeze in some time at the park and the girls had fun feeding the ducks!
