Easter & Birthday Party Weekend

We celebrated Sophia's 1st Easter & birthday.  The activities started Thursday night when Abu & Auntie A flew in from Dallas and Uncle Mig & Stacy came in from Chicago.  They continued thru Monday with her cousins, Ryan, Kevin, and Eric along with Uncle Chip and Aunt Judy who came down from Charlotte.  It was great having everyone in town and Sophia had tons of fun playing, watching videos, staying up late, eating junk food, and hanging out with her family.  She can't wait to see you all soon!

Sophia's 1st Birthday Party!

Thanks to all our family and friends that came to celebrate Sophia's 1st birthday.  She had a BLAST!  Sophia had the best time playing with all her friends and loved it when we sang "happy birthday".  She was definitely a little social butterfly & thrived on all the attention.  She didn't get very messy at all with her smash cake but really enjoyed those peep bunnies ... she ate 2!

Journal Junkie

I know I've mentioned this before but i really can't stress it enough.  Just like Joe, Sophia LOVES to read.  Her latest passion is medical journals.  She particularly likes to read them in the morning.  She even likes to turn them up side down to make sure she sees the data from every possible perspective ... sound familiar : )

Egg Hunt

We had so been looking forward to the East Cobb Easter Egg Hunt but it was such a disappointment : (  Oh well, at least Sophia did get one lonely egg and she got to take a picture with the Easter bunny ... well kind of ... a high school boy dressed up as the Easter bunny.  She wasn't quote sure what to think of him, I think she had him figured out! 

Little Monkey

Sometimes I wonder ... are we raising a little girl or a monkey?  First of all, she's into EVERYTHING!  As you can see, she managed to open one of the kitchen drawers and climb on in. Everyone warns you about this but who knew your little princess would actually be one to do it : )  She's also always liked bananas.  I used to cut them up in bite size pieces and she would eat them like a "normal" child.  However, recently she prefers to hold the whole banana and shove as much as she can in her mouth at one time. Maybe it's time to turn off Curious George in the morning?!?!

Shower time

Sometimes when I'm rushed in the morning & Sophia's not exactly ready for a nap, she joins me in the shower .... talk about multi-tasking.  She loves the water falling on her head and the sound of her voice echoing throughout ... I guess you could say she likes singing in the shower : )
