Fun @ the Waco Zoo

We met Robin and Jake, along with their friends Laura and Amelia, at the Waco Zoo.  We spent the morning seeing a few animals, playing in the misters, and grabbed lunch before heading back to Dallas.  Our visit wasn't long enough but at least we finally got to meet Jake! 

Working already

Ready for her summer job Sophia helped file away charts ... but Abu's little helper was definitely worn out by the end of the day. 

Dallas Cont.

While in Dallas Sophia got some gardening and Spanish lessons from Abu, piano lessons from Tia, and a kiss : )

Fun with Didi

This is how our trip to Dallas started.  Didi was watering the plants when we arrived from the airport (an hour late and an hour pass Sophia's bed time I must add).  Sophia has never played in the sprinklers or anything like that since we've been on watering restrictions for over a year now.  So as you can see, what started out as  a little curiosity very quickly turned into some wet fun with the hose.     

Dallas

      Sophia and I went to Dallas for one last trip before #2 arrives.  It was really wonderful spending time with Abu, Didi, and Tia.  Though it was hard being away from Joe for so long, I think the fact that Sophia finally learned how to say Daddy, made it all worth while.  

Ryland's 1st

                                       

On our way to the airport we stopped by to wish Ryland a happy 1st.  Sophia couldn't get enough of the Curious George theme and had a great time playing with Ryland and Pearce.  Sorry we couldn't stay longer : ( 

Little Mommy

We got Sophia her own stroller and doll set so she can practice being mommy's helper until her little sister arrives.  She LOVES it!  So far it looks like she'll be a great big sister.
