I just couldn't resist taking these ... Sophia says Alexandra is her "little teddy bear"

Big Sister

Sophia has become quite the big sister and has even started sharing her love for books.  Every morning she looks forward to reading Alexandra (and Gymbo) a book or two and ALWAYS reminds me not to forget her sister when we go down for breakfast.  I can see these two are going to be best of friends!

Elmo!

Like most kiddos Sophia's age she loves Elmo.  So when we heard he was making a visit to our local Learning Express toy store, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet him.  Sophia was SO excited she could hardly contain herself!  For the next few days all she could talk about was  "Elmo, fun, Elmo fun"

Gymbo (again)

We got Sophia this giant "Gymbo" clown about a year ago.  She had been obsessed with it at during gymnastics at Gymboree so we got her one of her own.  She hasn't really done much with it for several months until recently.  Now all of a sudden, we must "take" Gymbo everywhere.  He's not exactly small so dragging him around from room to room can sometimes be a challenge.  Can you imagine leaving the house with him?  Thank goodness we've been able to convince Sophia (at least for now) that Gymbo doesn't like to travel.

Sleeping Habits

The girls have a lot in common chubby cheeks, brown hair, big brown eyes ... but one thing unique to Alexandra is her sleeping habit.  She likes sleeping with her hat pulled over her eyes and down to her nose and she LOVES her paci.  I know she is still too young to worry about it becoming a problem but I honestly think it might be.  She must have it to fall asleep and is instantly calmed when I give it to her ... wait, that might not be such a bad thing afterall : )

Sweet Pink Baby

And I thought Sophia was a good baby ... Alexandra is almost 7 weeks and she's just a perfect little soul.  We are truly blessed!

Vroom Vroom

All the neighborhood kids have bicycles, scooters,  motorized cars, pedle toys, push toys, etc ... really every type of riding toy you can imagine and Sophia ALWAYS wants to hop on but of course she's way to little.  So the only logical solution was to get her a couple of her own.  For Christmas she got not only one but two riding toys ... a pink motorized jeep and a pink tricycle.  The only problem is it's been too cold to ride them outside ... (I know bro, we really don't have anything to complain about, this is nothing compared to Chicago) ... so Joe's "man room" has become the official race track!  Daddy doesn't seem to mind though, after all it is cars we're talking about ... pink cars but nonetheless cars : )
