My baby is now 2! How did this happen?!?!?
The perfect invite for my little racer and his fans set the mood for Lucas' race car theme party!
As part of the decorations, I hand painted these little wooden cars in the party colors;
cherry red and turquoise.
As you can see they were a big hit with the birthday boy!
Our guests were welcomed to the track and taken through a series of race events. Starting at the Pit Stop, then the Short Track and Set Up and over to The Speedway finally ending at the Grand Prix!
Yummy dessert table ...
Other than the birthday boy, cupcakes are all you really need, right?!?!
It didn't take long for the little racers to realize the gravel pit was edible ... chocolate rocks!
And every track is always packed with some fresh rubber but these chocolate covered tires were especially tasty!
To thank the race fans, race mask cake pops!
The humidity and rain didn't do much for the appearance but they sure did taste yummy!

The race started off on the "Short Track"were Lucas and his fans raced down the slip n slide and ran through a variety of sprinklers.
August is hit or miss with rain and of course it started to pour when it was time for the main event. But that didn't stop this crew from having fun! As you can see Clara and Alexandra had a blast swimming in the rain.
And Jessie wasn't going to let a little rain get in the way of racing down the Speedway!
After all the fun in the sun (and rain) Eliza Kate worked up quite an appetite. So she headed over to the Fuel Station for some "horsepower".
On their way out, some of the race fans made their way back to the "Pit Stop" were they finished polishing up a real race car.
Rain or shine the race was on! So thank you fans for coming out and celebrating this little racer's 2nd birthday! He had a blast and hope you did too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCAS! I LOVE YOU!!!!
