Sleepover

Can you believe Joe let 2 boys spend the night?!?!?!
So much for them not dating until their 30 : )

Our neighbors came up with the great idea of swapping nights once a month or so to give the kids something to remember while giving the adults some much needed "no kids" time. Since our girls are younger and have a lot more "stuff" to worry about, they simply stay at our house but when it's their turn, the boys come over for a sleepover. These are some pics from our latest sleepover.

The night started with a movie and popcorn. Sophia was so excited to have the boys over and of course, she even got to stay up past her bedtime.

What's a sleepover with out some craziness and bed jumping, right! The next morning while we waited for Alexandra to wake up the boys and Sophia had a blast "flying".

The Dentist

Sophia had her first visit to the dentist today. It went great though I must say she seemed a little disappointed she didn't get to see Rudolph. See, if you've ever seen the claymation movie Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer you know about a misfit elf who wants to be a dentist. So when I told Sophia we were going to see the dentist she just assumed she would also get to see Rudolph. As much as I tried to prepare her for the visit all she could focus on was Rudolph. Luckily, when we got there the staff was so kind and warm, Sophia forgot about Rudolph and simply enjoyed her first visit to the dentist.

Dr. Scott counted and checked all 20 teeth ... Sophia was so proud to say she had 20. She thought she only had 10 : )

After her visit, she got a "pretty butterfly sticker & sparkly bracelet" which she proudly showed Alexandra before running off to play a quick game.

Park with The Janci's

We met The Janci's at a local park for some "swinging fun" and a picnic. It works out great cause Jack is exactly Sophia's age and Matty is Alexandra's age. While the dads are running around with the "big" kids the moms are watching the babies or visa versa.

Sophia and Jack had a great time ...

Alexandra did too ... but poor Matty was a little overwhelmed.

Welcome Maggie Grace!

Maggie Grace is simply precious!!! Alexandra and I went to the hospital to welcome our dear friends' new baby girl to the world. She was such a little angle. We didn't hear a single peep out of her the entire visit. Congrats! We can't wait to see you again soon : )

Curious George

So since halloween week was busy enough we decided to squeeze in a trip to Imagine It, Atlanta's Children's Museum to see their Curious George exhibit with our friends The Heilman's and The Cibula's. Sophia was thrilled!!!!

She volunteer to be a planet during the Curious George show and had fun getting dirty with daddy while making a snowman with the moon sand.

Alexandra and Jessie spent most of their time in the baby room where she showed us her independence by going up and down the slide all by her self.

Trick or Treat Week!!!

WOW was this week full of Halloween fun! We were super busy but it was so worth it! It was the best halloween yet! Alexandra was a little black kitty while Sophia went back and forth between a DUKE cheerleader and (last years costume) a bumble bee ... more on this later.
It started off with the girls wearing their costumes to music on Monday. Then Sophia had her Halloween party at school. Then on Friday, Wesley Kate's halloween themed birthday party.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WESLEY KATE!!
Ansley's 1st birthday Saturday morning ....
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY ANSELY!!!
... our neighbor party that afternoon and then finally that evening trick or treating!
Alexandra was perfectly content being a little kitty. She actually played the part very well! Sophia on the other hand wasn't quite sure about her cheerleader constume. One day she wanted to be a bumble bee and then the next a cheerleader. But no matter what she was wearing she'd say she was a bumble bee but then give you a "Go DUKE ... Let's Go DUKE!" cheer. I think she liked wearing the bumble bee costume but acting like a cheerleader ... though she didn't understand the real concept of a cheerleader. At one point she even explained to me that her friend Jack was also a cheerleader but he didn't say Go DUKE he says Go Cosby, which is his dogs' name. So in her mind a cheerleader cheers for their dog! I guess she's right, especially if you have a dog named after your favorite team : )

Fall Festival ... & Matty!

Sophia's preschool had their annual Fall Festival ... or as Sophia says "Vegetable." I volunteered to work our class booth. Wow, was that a mistake. It was really hard work! We had animal bowling ... so while I was breaking back putting up bowling pins in the freezing cold, the girls and Joe got to enjoy all the fun at the "vegetable".

They rode on the ponies, went on all different kids of bouncers and slides, and of course bowled a few times at our booth. After my shift was up we zoomed over to the Janci's for some lunch and cake in honor of Matty's 1st birthday!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MATTY!!!!
