Trunk or Treat

The preschool had their annual Truck or Treat Halloween celebration today.  It's a fun time for the family and a great place to try out your Halloween costumes.  Sophia said it perfectly, "it's like practicing for Halloween!'

And thank goodness!  We needed a dress rehearsal!  As we got ready to head out I found quite a few kinks in the girls homemade peacock costumes.  Nothing a few safety pins and fabric glue couldn't fix but not exactly a good start to our Halloween debut.

Sophia was the visionary for this years Halloween theme.

I only hoped my creations met her high expectations.

Alexandra jumped on board and was almost as excited about the idea than the creator : )

So what could Lucas be to coordinate with 2 peacocks?

An owl!

Doesn't he look Hoot Hoot Cute!

At the event Sophia was so eager to get as much candy as she could!

While Alexandra examined every piece.  She was more about quality than quantity

And Lucas?!?!? He was perfectly content with the first piece dropped in his basket.

After going from car trunk to car trunk, it was time to bounce and slide.

This would be the true test of my costume design skills.
Luckily they all survived!

Birds of a feather stick together!

Lucas surprised us all as he followed the girls down the bouncy slide.

Our fine feathered friends had a great preview performance and are now ready for opening night!
